Welcome to my website. I specialize in creating artwork
pertaining to, and in some cases, complete digital matte painting visual effects
shots used in the film and broadcast industry.
Matte painting work generally fulfills two purposes: first, to expand the visual
scope of a story by providing added visual interest to a setting, and secondly,
allowing producers to accomplish this goal in a very economical way. The aim of
using painting techniques to embellish or entirely create an environment is to
fool the viewer into thinking they are witnessing a lavish production that is
incorporating impressive sets, or perhaps crew travel to exotic locations.
This website is intended as an on line portfolio to provide samples of work I
have done from preliminary sketch paintings all the way to digital environments
allowing three dimensional camera movements.
