The Public Eye

A recreation of a Manhattan avenue setting in the 1940s. The street with vintage automobiles and the lower portions of the two buildings in the right half of the scene were photographed in downtown Cincinnatti, Ohio. The producers found it was more economical to shoot in the midwest, and add the surroundings with the matte painting.
